This is one of those short books that makes a big impact in how I see the world. This book finishes a trilogy of my own making on conservative political and cultural theory. This book along with Love Your Enemies and The Fractured Republic provided a framework for a vision to that has changed me. Build upon a foundation of trust. Coming together with people to repair and create institutions. Allow these institutions to mediate our divisions and disseminate discussions that bridge the gaps between islands of isolated ideologies. I found that by retreating to the safety of my own group I will be doing greater damage than if I should be one of those reaching out to others to give them the opportunity to see what life on the other side really is.
