When I look back on the year that was 2020, I found that although my excursions abroad were canceled, my typical highlight, I was able to enjoy the quieter things in life. It was a year of grounding in the extensible. That attribute that causes one to extend beyond your current ability: to grow in a world that is changing and uncertain.
Here are my favorite books of the year:
Although I did enjoy the light reading as well. These three books changed me the most. These were not the easiest books. They were intense and sometimes dragged on a bit. But their essential nature caused me to look outside of myself and understand the greater purposes that I live for. Now that is a good read.

It was one of the few books that made me cry. Not that it was going for that experience, but it made a complete circuit from beginning to end. Like a good book should.
