I found this book enjoyably hard to get through. I recognize that this is a translation, but my hope is that the spirit of Liu lives as best it can in the Western mind. The way Liu writes is subtly abrasive. It embodies many of the reasons I like to travel. It shows one another completely different way to communicate in a medium you are used to feeling comfortable in.
